Join us at the 2012 Clean Conference

It's just three weeks until the 2012 Clean Conference and we hope you'll be able to join us to soak up all that's on offer, including fabulous speakers and great networking with other members of the ever-growing Clean Community. The speakers include:

  • Shelle Rose Charvet, authour of "Words That Change Minds"
  • Penny Tompkins and James Lawley, authors of "Metaphors in Mind"
  • Cei Davis Linn, who was closely involved in the early evolution and development of David Grove's innovative work

I will be there with a session entitled 'Slo-Mo Modelling' as will many of our practice group members, including Nigel and Jenny Heath and Sheryl Andrews who are also running sessions. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn more about Clean Language, Clean Space, Emergent Knowledge, The Power of Six and other aspects of the work of David Grove. Whether you are a complete beginner or a highly experienced facilitator, there will be plenty of material to interest you. The sessions cover the latest cognitive science relating to metaphor, and the use of Clean and metaphor in coaching, business, therapy, health, organisation development, personal development, education and research.

New Remote Certification Process

With training happening in different places around the globe, we are creating, together with Penny and James, a new process which will allow people to take their assessment remotely, via Skype or video, or mix in some face-to-face sessions. Candidates will need to complete five different sessions to earn five competency credits: develop a resource; identify and develop a sequence; develop a desired outcome metaphor landscape; facilitate a basic Symbolic Modelling coaching session; facilitate a Clean Space session. Each session will be assessed by one or two recognised assessors and candidates will receive feedback on each one. If you have done some training in Clean Language and Symbolic Modelling and would like to have your skills assessed, please contact us. As soon as all the pricing and practical details are worked out, we will post it as an alternative offering on this site. The current 2-day face-to-face assessment will continue to happen.

We will also be offering credits at our forthcoming Clean Space training (10-11 Mar) in Sydney, Australia, and Penny and James will be doing some assessment during their 3-day event (30 Mar to 1 Apr) in Sydney  too.

We’ve Changed!

If you've arrived here via Apricot Island, welcome to our new website! We've changed our name to Clean Learning and have a brand new look to go with our new name. Plus...

We're launching a series of podcasts featuring different people in the clean community. The first one features Laughter Coach, Lisa Sturge, so if you like to laugh and you want to find out how Lisa uses Clean Language in her work, do tune in.

We're joined by two new trainers: Lesley Symons who'll be running our Clean Facilitator Programme in Sydney, Australia and Henk Kloor, who'll be running Discover Your Assertive Self in Holland with his partner, Edith.

New information features: FAQs, Certified Clean Facilitators and Recommended Reading.

A new one-day taster course: An Introduction to Clean Language: get the basics and learn some simple processes you can use in life, in coaching and at work.

And now we have all these basics in place, we’ll be adding more content and more courses over the days and weeks to come. Please have a good look around and let us know what you think.
