What’s involved
We are working in association with Training Attention Ltd. to offer an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Award, Certificate and Diploma in Coaching and Mentoring.
More and more organisations are recognising the importance of developing coaching skills in their managers as an essential part of their management training strategy for business success.
This ILM programme provides holistic coaching training, which matches organisational outcomes.
The course takes place over four months, with coaching practice and peer group supervision in between the four days of face-to-face training. Organisations can bring together a group of diverse team members, working for different level qualifications over the 4 days, which ensures that the programme meets a secondary objective of team building.
Your qualification depends on the practise you do between the course dates and the supervision you receive from us, as follows:
VRQ Level 3 Award in Coaching for First Line Managers and Team Leaders
3 and a half days tuition plus 12 hours of supervised coaching practice
VRQ Level 3 Certificate for Professional Workplace Coaches:
4 days tuition plus 42 hours supervised coaching practice
VRQ Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring:
4 days tuition plus 12 hours supervised coaching practice
VRQ Level 5 Diploma for Professional Management Coaches and Mentors
4 days tuition plus 100 hours of supervised coaching practice
Managers can register for the Level 3 Award or Level 5 Certificate and upgrade their qualification within the first 2 years should they chose.
We train in a way which will allow you pass on your skills, providing a cascade of training to other staff and clients to ensure maximum value for money. Bringing a team of colleagues will result in more team rapport and the ability to work together more effectively, even in times of scarcity and disagreement.

Additional information
Training Attention Ltd. has been delivering coaching skills training for over 10 years, training Trainee Teachers, Welfare to Work advisors, Directors and Senior Leaders and even the ILM themselves.
Their training tools centre around clean methodologies and their work is well researched, publicised and very robust, having been trialled in such diverse fields.
Nancy Doyle, an Occupational Psychologist and a Director of Training Attention Ltd., says:
"We’re experienced within corporate, community and public sector training for coaching and mentoring skills. We’re adept at matching the learning criteria to a variety of business outcomes and individual needs. We promise more than a qualification. Before our ILM accreditation we used our trainings to deal with teams in conflict and to support individuals through difficult changes, such as ending long term unemployment. We registered with the ILM because they recognise the value of our work and required very little adaptation to the material we’d already developed for it to fit the national framework (QCF) coaching learning outcomes."
